ScoopMath ("we", "us") runs the website scoopmath.com. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site. The short version: the converter works entirely in your browser, and we do not ask for or collect personal information.

Information you type into the converter

Amounts, units and ingredients you enter are processed by JavaScript on your own device. They are not sent to our server or to any third party.

Information stored on your device

To save you a step next time, the site remembers the last ingredient you selected using your browser's local storage. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are kept only as long as the hosting provider's standard retention period. We do not use them to identify individual visitors.

Fonts and third-party resources

Our fonts are hosted on our own server. The current version of the site does not load scripts, fonts or images from third-party services.

Analytics

We do not currently use analytics tools. If we add one in the future, we will update this policy before doing so and describe what it collects.

Advertising

We do not currently show ads. We may use Google AdSense in the future to support the site. If we do, this section applies:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
• Where required by law, such as for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before personalized ads or advertising cookies are used.

Children

The site is a general-audience cooking tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We will update this page if our practices change, and revise the "last updated" date above.
